Every successful enterprise begins with a dream. So did Christy Friedgram Industry Private Limited. And the dreamer was a small-town lad who later came to be known as Shri T S Kumarasamy. In 1989, Shri Kumarasamy had a small capital but a big dream of becoming a first-generation entrepreneur who would bring prosperity into his hometown of Tiruchengode.

Shri Kumarasamy was born in a family of farmers in Tiruchengode, Namakkal District of Tamilnadu. Even as a child he was interested in ‘looking beyond the obvious’, a trait that made him pursue Post Graduation in Commerce and attend training courses on Food processing at CFTRI, Mysore, and eventually drove him to establish CFIPL.

Timely funding from a nationalized bank helped him to setup a small unit for manufacture of friedgram and the small seed capital that he started off with has today multiplied into a business house. His entrepreneurial streak is providing direct employment to hundreds of villagers in and around Tiruchengode.

Shri Kumarasamy is a hands-on leader who leads from the front. He is seldom found behind any glass cubicle and instead likes to spend most of his time interacting with employees to experts. Genuinely interested in building the CFIPL team, he makes sure to meet all shortlisted candidates to see what knowledge and skill can they provide in building the organisation. A dreamer and a doer, Shri Kumarasamy is a proponent of inclusive growth.
